Welcome to The George Pub, Wraysbury
With our beautiful building boasting 600 years of history, throw in one famous boxer that trained in the pub, a certain Henry Cooper, we had a lot to live up to. With hard work, and a sympathetic vision our refurbishment brought back the true character of our historic building.
We are back!
The time has come for us to reopen our gardens from the 12th April. We are accepting bookings from a maximum of 2 households or up to 6 people from multiple households. All our tables that can be booked will be covered. However we will have a number of tables that are open which work on a first come first serve basis.
To book your table please email or call and a member of staff will be able to help. We will then be open for inside service from the 17th May.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back for some delicious food, great company and fantastic service.
Our founder Ben, set out to do simple beautifully; this means quality ingredients that speak for themselves, a cellar that our beers can be proud to sit in, and a wine list that knows no borders in its search for taste and value. Ben is forever present to ensure a friendly and smooth service.
We are a firm favourite with local Wraysbury residents, we are also a perfect stop off for local attractions which include: Magna Carta, the Queen Mother Reservoir and the famous National Trust Ankerwycke yew, which is an iconic 2,500 year old yew is steeped in history. According to popular belief, it was beneath this tree that King Henry VIII courted Anne Boleyn
Our Boxers Barn where the aforementioned Henry Cooper trained is now a private room which is available to hire. Our relaxing, secluded Olive Garden which hints of a Mediterranean holiday and our stunning Tepee Garden have all got to be seen to be believed and truly appreciated.
So two legged or four, hot, cold, hungry, thirsty or just looking to take a breather, we can’t wait to welcome you to The George.
